Inishbofin is a special place, situated 7 miles out in the Atlantic, off Ireland’s stunning Connemara coast. A traditional way of life and low intensity farming have helped to preserve the island’s unique flora and fauna. It is one of the last Irish breeding strongholds of the globally endangered Corncrake, once a common bird of hay meadows.

The Inishbofin Nature Trust is a voluntary non – profit organisation committed to raising awareness of Inishbofin’s rich natural heritage and protecting it for future generations. We do this by supporting small scale local conservation projects.
